A Movie I Won't Be Seeing

GI JOE is now an acronym for an international based unit based in Brussels.  I don't know what offends me the most about this, that they are ruining an American icon, or basing this unit where the EU is based.  I can remember being a kid and playing with GI Joe action figures.  But kids today will learn of a different GI Joe, a EU/NATO run unit not an American Hero.  The story of how GI Joe came to be can be found here, where I learned of this whole international nonsense.  The writer has a great point as to why this is fundamentally wrong.  Trust me this is more than just the story of a toy, but of the life of a real Marine named Mitchell Paige.
