Nervous

It looks as though Fred Thompson hasn't even officially announced anything yet, except for the fact that he may announce something, and the DNC has already begun to attack him. I don't think that anything they can throw at him will make a difference. From the article at Politico:

Democratic strategists say Thompson's populist style and show-biz allure could prove extremely appealing in a general election at a time when voters are so down on Washington. So the party has launched a preemptive campaign against him that includes a DNC fundraising e-mail branding Thompson, "The inside-outsider."

So his showbiz allure, something the Dems have longed loved for so long, is making them nervous. I call it an even playing field.
