Welcome Befudld
I would like to take a break from my rant on wacko environmentalism and welcome befudld to the site. Oh and by the way...Go MAN U!!! Tottenham sucks!!!
Manchester United; the epitome of the euro MLB Yankees. You either hate them or love them. Chip Saunders "chose" this (Man U) club for that very reason. "They're the best!" All the wrong reason.
We should choose a club for the the way they play, thier, commitment, swagger, and sense of community. Man U are a club that devote none of that. Have a million quid? We'll buy him. No less than six players were sent out on loan this January. Some have been brilliant; Rossi comes to mind, others are trying to ply thier trade at low levels to make the elite.
This is the same at AA baseball where players try to get to the "big show". The difference is that English fans of lowly clubs come out to see their team! "Kill the bastards!" they scream, hoping that their club will be the giant killer of the club 31 places above them.
31 places? you ask. If the Yankees are the best in MLB and Tallahasee is the best in AA, you are looking at at least 31 places in baseball. "Oh please, it's our own players there after all (by contract)".
I submit that baseball will NEVER be bigger than true football just because the players of baseball just want a check. Not the game.
If i were to watch a baseball game, I would BOO the player who strikes out (especially paid $80 million). If a player in True Football is off his game, and he is paid 15k a week, he is booed off the field for not commiting to the club cause.
We should all see our military as your club. Your club is in Iraq.
If it were baseball too many would've foul'd out. Too many would have been bood off the field. [I am talking about those in charge] The nehsayers are the ones who said we should not have paid our big strikers. We have no midfielders for support and at the back we are depleated. The Congress is the worst manager ever imagined and the generals are the third base coach waiting for a sign.
This isn't baseball or football. Let's get it right.
