“This is a serious, long-term war,” Gingrich added, “and it will inevitably lead us to want to know what is said in every suspect place in the country. It will lead us to learn how to close down every Web site that is dangerous.”Now don't get me wrong, I don't agree with what Newt is saying. It would be horrible to see this happen. The internet, Al Gore's gift to man, has done more to promote healthy free speech in this country and the world than any other medium to this date. But what he is not telling on his show is this little gem. The Fairness in Broadcasting Act of 1993, which Dennis Kucinich wants to bring back into play. The point of this is that broadcasters would be required by LAW to offer opposing viewpoints in order to show fairness. But isn't this a free market? Why should the government legislate to radio hosts such as Rush Limbaugh or even Alan Colmes. The reason, clear and simple, liberals know that nobody would listen to them if given the choice and so they have to literally force their viewpoints on everyone else. Look at Air America, which went bankrupt within a few years. Even on TV, Fox consitently beats out everyone else. Even Olbermann, is at a loss to O'Reilly, a fact he loathes. So while both facts are an injustice to our freedom of speech, only one story gets told. Those evil conservatives, at it again.
Welcome to The Conservative Pundit. It's a little bit of everything from a conservative point of view.

A Relief From the Previous Post
Just as soon as I feel bad about agreeing with Olbermann, he goes onto another rant, that only tells one side of the story. He brings up a story about Newt Gingrich from a speech he gave where he talks about shutting down websites that promote terror.
