Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, is being protested by neighboring Jews living near him for conceding with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on using the Holocaust as an excuse for years of bloodshed in the Middle East. Now Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that the Holocaust didn't happen, but while Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss has family that were a killed as a result of the Holocaust, his main stance revolves around using as a means to an end. He is quoted in the
New York Daily News as saying:
"We tried to appease them (IRAN)," he told The News. "We explained how the Holocaust is used to intimidate people who want to speak against the unjust Zionist regime."
Now what is the keyword in that? If you said appease then you are right. Allow me to quote one of the greatest Generals we have EVER had fight for this country. If he were alive today, I truly believe things would be a little different. Upon his return from Korea, he addressed Congress and made this statement near the end of his address:
There are some who, for varying reasons, would appease Red China. They are blind to history's clear lesson, for history teaches with unmistakable emphasis that appeasement but begets new and bloodier war. It points to no single instance where this end has justified that means, where appeasement has led to more than a sham peace. Like blackmail, it lays the basis for new and successively greater demands until, as in blackmail, violence becomes the only other alternative.
There you have it. You will never get anywhere with appeasement. This Rabbi should learn this lesson before it is too late.
