Yawn...Edwards the Socialist Runs Again

John Edwards announced his running for president Thursday from New Orleans. A former senator from NC, this man is running on a hard line socialist stance and is making no effort to hide it. His website has a new slogan as well, "Tomorrow begins today". What a promise eh? His stance on the tough issues? Iran... nope nothing. Iraq.... nothing here either. Israel....uh who are they again? I bet he has something to say about North Korea....sorry his website is silent on that one as well. Hmm being a socialist, I bet he says something about Health Care... "Providing Universal Health Care for All Americans" there you have it, Universal health care, so we can be just as jacked up as Canada. What else does he have on the issues that matter most..."Transforming our Energy Economy and Solving Global Warming", running on a platform of junk science, I love it. "Rebuilding America's Middle Class and Eliminating Poverty", finally after all these years of losing the war on poverty (what is the casualty rate of this war) this man has a new direction to win it once and for all. Maybe he will bring in an independent counsel with Baker to do something about it. Maybe and this is a big maybe he will tie in his other campaign issue "Restoring America's Moral Standing in the World", and we can get Iran to help us finally win the war on poverty. And his last issue from the site is this one, "Creating Tax Fairness by Rewarding Work, Not Just Wealth". I thought that we got taxed by what income bracket we fall into. And our income is based on how much work we do. Now worky, no income. So aren't we really under this program already. Granted the tax program is far from perfect, I would love to see a flat tax, or even a VAT tax. Something better than what we have now. Being conservative, I am all for lowering taxes as it is. That is a whole separate post though. Maybe one for the Podcast. I should go on to state that Edwards fails to acheive backing from his home state. I from NC, and as I write this post staying in NC as well. I have talked to many people here and few if any support this man.
