I don't want to harp on Caroline Kennedy. I really don't. But when I read the following, I have to comment. From FoxNews.com, Kennedy said

“I was really surprised and dismayed by my voting record,” she told the Associated Press. “I’m glad it’s been brought to my attention.”

Evidently, Kennedy did not vote in several elections (including voting for the Senate seat that she is now vying for.) It bothers me that she didn't vote. What bothers me more is that she was "surprised" by her lack of voting and that someone had to "bring it to" her attention. She is an adult that should be fully aware of whether or not she did or did not vote. This is possibly our next New York Senator. Scary.

Double Standard

Before the election, nearly everytime Sarah Palin was mentioned in the mainstream media it was a put down (even if it was thinly disguised as simple commentary). Every sentence was scrutinized. Her experience was called into question. And while I'm not saying that the Vice Presidency and a New York Senate seat are exactly the same (because I know that they're not) it is infuriating that we aren't hearing more critical comments about Caroline Kennedy's seeming inability to put together a sentence without more vocalized pauses that I ever thought possible (and I teach intro level Public Speaking, so I hear a lot of them). In this short, 2:30 clip alone, she says "you know" 30 times, which roughly translates to one "you know" every five seconds. That doesn't even include the "um"s and "uh"s and other fillers present. It is really scary that this woman can't put together a coherent thought without all this filler. Some may argue that she's a "private" person, doesn't speak in public, whatever. The point is that she is now in a position in the public eye and has to consider how she presents herself. She has to speak better than this. At least, she should be held to a higher standard. They sure held Sarah Palin to one. All I'm expecting is a little bit of fairness in the way judgment is passed. Of course, considering who I'm talking about, I seriously doubt it will happen.

My Predictions for the New Obama "Presidency"

Now that America has shown us all that affirmative action even works in politics, I've compiled a list of things that you can probably expect to happen. These predictions are 80% gleaned from information all of us have access to, and 15% gut instinct based on many years of research, historical study, and being glued to current affairs. The other 5% is just anger at my countrymen's stupidity--I admit it.

- Websites and mass emails offering "free grants," courtesy of the government and "Obama's wealth redistribution." Actually, this one's a freebie, because I have an email with a date and timestamp of literally minutes after Obama was declared the winner, offering exactly that.

- Israel will understand this election was the end of any type of assistance, military or otherwise, from the U.S., and will stop holding back their defense at the request of the American administration. Look for a first strike on Iran soon, as well as increased activity by the Israeli military in general. Israel is on her own now, and God help us all because of it.

- Look for Iranian retaliation--against American targets. That goes doubly for other terrorist organizations. We just elected a man with the full endorsement of every major terrorist group in the world as leader of the free world. It's the political equivalent of hiring a child molester to babysit your kids while you leave for the weekend. Not only is HE going to have fun with your child, but he'll probably sit and watch while his friends come over and do it too.

- Look for far-left justices appointed to the Supreme Court, effectively tying up the entire government in a trifecta of liberal humanism, the buzzwords of which remain empty platitudes like "hope and change," and the ultimate goal of which is socialism--and soon, sharia law.

- Military cases of troops being tried and convicted for killing the enemy in combat will continue to rise--and the conviction/plea-bargain rate will stay at nearly 100%, as the government seeks to use the best men and women this country has to offer as sacrificial lambs on the altar of global appeasement. Those brave and honorable men who currently reside in prison cells across the country, stripped of their rank, their careers, families, and their good name, will not taste free air again for many years. Their sacrifices and their stories will be forgotten by the general public, remembered only by those of us who continue to fight for them.

- Look for the slow but steady erosion of rights you have enjoyed for your entire lives--all the while being told it's "for your own good." Restrictions on gun ownership, home schooling, encouraged dependen ce on the ever-growing federal government. More nanny-state provisions will be put into place to protect the "disadvantaged" and the "poor," (read: lazy, uneducated, unwilling to better themselves) even while groups like the unborn, the mentally handicapped, elderly, and terminally ill are slowly pushed toward euthanasia. Of course, this will be done with feel-good phrases like "death with dignity," "not wanting to be a burden," and "merciful release from suffering," all of which ignore the basic fact that we are killing people without their consent for the "good of the people." Before you tell me I'm crazy, let's just remember that Barack Obama was the ONLY senator in the Illinois state senate to vote against providing medical care for babies who were inconsiderate enough to survive an abortion. Also, look for taxes to go up. Yes, they'll go up.

- You think the economy is bad now? Just wait. You'll have the most expensive "free" health care ever. Bread lines aren't just for Russians anymore. We have traded experience for color, freedom for slavery--and the irony is that the average American sheeple thinks their vote somehow righted an ancient wrong, somehow ENDED the spectre of slavery and ushered in some beautiful era of liberty. In reality, we are about to be less free than you ever thought possible.

I watched the faces of those crowded into the mob (excuse the pun) in Chicago. They stared at Obama like he was a god, an idol, a panacea to their every want and need. We have truly failed as a nation if we are at the point where we feel we must look to one man to take care of us all, to be our father figure and our sugar daddy. We have lost not only the "can-do" attitude of past generations, but the "MUST-do" attitude of our forefathers. We have allowed ourselves to become reduced from Patrick Henry's proud cry of "liberty or death" to the sniveling, whining idea that we are owed something. We have gone from being the honorable defenders of freedom to being told we are the problem.

The eyes of Obama and McCain were also telling. McCain acted with class and grace in his concession speech, offering the most honorable response I've seen yet. I don't agree with all of McCain's positions, but it cannot be denied that the man has served his nation--at permanent and severe detriment to himself--for half a century. His eyes were clear and sincere, honest. His speech underlined the very reasons why, of the two men offered, he was hands down the better choice.

On the other hand, Obama's eyes were cold, calculating. His manner was smug and still carried the arrogance he has always had. His facial expression was one of barely disguised disdain for everything people like me believe in. His body language was smooth, polished--too much so. He talked of patriotism as though it is a value he is familiar with--and yet, his horrifying attitude toward the country he now leads is as well-documented as his friendships with those who seek its demise. He is charismatic to those who don't know what to look for, and he is inspiring to those who cannot or will not think for themselves. However, too many who voted for him are guilty of the most dangerous kind of hypocrisy. You see, we are told daily that we must not see color, just mankind. (We are all family, you know--or so we're told.) And yet Barack Obama was handed the White House on a silver platter by a fawning media, a bevy of foreign donors (who, to this day and in violation of U.S. election laws, remain nameless and unaccounted for), and a populace who voted based on color instead of right and wrong--even in the face of the most damning evidence against a Presidential candidate in many years, perhaps ever.

It is said that the people receive the government they deserve. Sadly, I fear that's correct. We have become complacent, unwilling to see the writing on the wall, content to frolic in the warm water without bearing to notice that it's been getting hotter by the minute. We are two seconds from a rolling boil--and perhaps it is already too late.

So, liberals, enjoy your victory. Jump around. Have a party, file for your free grants. Scream "Gimme my handout!" and make fun of those of us who fought to make sure your "messiah" didn't get access to the most powerful position in the world. Just remember when it all comes crashing down: You own the White House, the Congress, and soon the Supreme Court. You have no one to blame but yourselves for the mess you just created.

As cold waves continue to hit most of the Earth, the Man Made Global Warming Alarmists still assert that even this cold weather is proof of the earth warming. It must be great to be able to always be right even if you are wrong, all that you need to do is change the parameters. What...it's getting colder, it must be Global Warming. Now you say it's getting hotter, well of course what else would it be but Man Made Global Warming! Take this article from Time:

Obama's Choices

We are learning more about Obama's administration as he chooses the people who will surround him when he takes office. Having run his campaign on a promise of "change," the current line up doesn't really inspire a lot of confidence in his ability to deliver it (not that I had a lot of confidence in him anyway, but thats beside the point.) From today's Washington Post (by Michael Gerson):

A defense secretary, Robert Gates, who once headed the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M. A secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, who supported the invasion of Iraq, voted to label the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization and called direct, unconditional talks with Iran "irresponsible and frankly naive." A national security adviser, retired Gen. James Jones, most recently employed at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, who served as a special adviser to the Bush administration on the Middle East. A Treasury secretary, Timothy Geithner, who is one of Henry Paulson's closest allies outside the administration. A head of the Council of Economic Advisers, Christina Romer, whose writings and research seem to favor low tax rates, stable money and free trade.

Gerson goes on to say (emphasis mine):

Second, Obama's appointments reveal something important about current Bush policies. Though Obama's campaign savaged the administration as incompetent and radical, Obama's personnel decisions have effectively ratified Bush's defense and economic approaches during the past few years. At the Pentagon, Obama rehired the architects of President Bush's current military strategy -- Gates, Gen. David Petraeus and Gen. Raymond Odierno. At the Treasury Department, Obama has hired one of the main architects of Bush's current economic approach.

This continuity does not make Obama an ideological traitor. It indicates that Bush has been pursuing centrist, bipartisan policies -- without getting much bipartisan support. The transition between Bush and Obama is smoother than some expected, not merely because Obama has moderate instincts but because Bush does as well. Particularly on the economy, Bush has never been a libertarian; he has always matched a commitment to free markets with a willingness to intervene when markets stumble.

The candidate of "change" is discovering what many presidents before him have found: On numerous issues, the range of responsible policy options is narrow. And the closer you come to the Oval Office, the wiser your predecessors appear.

This is exactly what I was thinking through the election. While Obama may have some grand plans, the reality of the situation he finds himself in doesn't lend itself to the "miraculous" change that he promised while running (hopefully, anyway)

Third, Obama is finding the limits of leading a "movement" that never had much ideological content.

Even though many have praised Obama for his speaking skills, I always felt like it was so much fluff. What he said sounded great, but I never heard a lot of substance. It was good enough for those looking for pretty words, but anyone who actually listened and paid attention was probably left wanting. But that's just the humble opinion of a Communications/Public Speaking professor.

Thoughts on the Election

One thing that I find depressing is the complete lack of understanding people have when it comes to the President-Elect. With his idea of "Change" he brings in everyone who has been in Washington for all these years causing the problems we now face.
Now I don't mean to say that Bush has been perfect for the past 8 years. Too many "compassionate conservative" bills and too many RINOs in Congress drunk with power and forsaking conservative ideals has caused the country to look differently at the Republican party. Where does that leave the party? Hopefully regrouping and realizing that conservative ideals win elections. At the end of the day most Americans don't want Big Government. True conservatism is anti big government. And the Republicans in office, what little remain, aren't seeing that at all.
Obama on the other hand won this election by promoting big government. He espoused a Civil Security Force with the manning and funding of the current military, whose budget already is well over $500 billion. He promoted the Fairness Doctrine, which is now being re branded as Localism. Sometimes all it takes is a name change and everyone forgets what the previous iteration was called. It is appalling how many sheep are in America and voting.
McCain's rise to power wasn't very encouraging either. Somehow he was able to sway the electorate into believing he was a true conservative and the sheep who nominated him to represent this party in the national election. I find it hard to believe that he was the first pick of true conservatives. But we were stuck with him and while I for one hated the idea of voting for him I held my nose and did anyway. Partly due to the fact he chose a true conservative to be his running mate. Looking back, I may have not even have voted in the national election if he had chosen anyone with the same thinking as himself.
Now, as the economy continues to collapse, Obama will walk into office facing tough decisions. Hopefully all this will give him pause and keep him from enacting the legislation that he wants. Government is not the answer and bigger government is even worse. The only way to save this country is to get back to basics. We need to put the power back into the people and the states. The 10th Amendment is one that needs to be re-read by everyone in Congress. And Obama, being a constitutional lawyer, would be well served by acquainting himself with this oft forgotten restriction on the grasp of the federal government which reads:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Powerful words indeed.

Rep. Paul Broun from Georgia has made some bold statements and in view of what Obama has said before would it really surprise anyone?

So when Rep. Paul Broun comes out and says

"It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he's the one who proposed this national security force," Rep. Paul Broun said of Obama in an interview Monday with The Associated Press. "I'm just trying to bring attention to the fact that we may—may not, I hope not—but we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism or Marxism.
That's exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it's exactly what the Soviet Union did," Broun said. "When he's proposing to have a national security force that's answering to him, that is as strong as the U.S. military, he's showing me signs of being Marxist."

You're right, to most it may sound crazy but in light of everything he stands for, would it really surprise any who are actually paying attention to what he says.

Broun said he believes Obama would move to ban gun ownership if he does build a national security force.
"We can't be lulled into complacency," Broun said. "You have to remember that Adolf Hitler was elected in a democratic Germany. I'm not comparing him to Adolf Hitler. What I'm saying is there is the potential of going down that road."

Guns going away?

Here we go. Folks reacting to a "crisis". I have mixed feelings about this one; on the one hand its plain and simple...NO ONE should be able to infringe on our 2nd amendment right to bear arms. ANY kind of arms. But at the same time, when were talking about self defense anyway, who really needs an AK-47 or a Barrett Model 95 or an Uzi? Who the hell in their right mind says to themselves, "Hmm. Thinking about going to see a movie tonight. Should I carry the Browning M1919 or the XM8?" and actually wants to stay alive? Now when we're talking about just plain fun, thats a different story. We'll still be able to "protect and defend", we just won't be able to go out in the back yard (for those who live in NC, anyway) and cut down trees with lead for a while. Get 'em while you can (but take it easy because the more of a "crisis" we make it, the more prices will go up)! One thing that KILLS me though is how many liberals I see at the gun shops right along side of us. W..T..F..?!?! You guys were practically camping out at the poles to vote for this dude! This once again proves that Dem's are morons and they don't ACTUALLY believe in ANYTHING that they "stand for"!!!!! Vote for one thing on the 4th, turn around and do the EXACT OPPOSITE on the 5th. Good job morons! These jerks should have some kind of card, or something on their license that identifies them as a MORON, excuse me, democrat/liberal that they have to show to the gun store owner when they are trying to buy a gun. That way the store owner can alert the rest of the folks in the store that DO have some sense and those folks can politely escort said democrat/liberal out of the store and point them in the direction of the nearest Starbucks where they belong. I wanted Huckabee. Fred would have been great, even Romney would be better than McCain. McCain, who believes in man made global warming, would love to grant amnesty to illegal aliens, and has consistently turned his back on those conservatives he now needs to put him in office. The GOP has spent and spent our taxpayer dollars and even with the Dems in control the past two years it's hard to see a difference. I have been a staunch conservative and have tried to support the GOP as much as possible since I have known anything about politics. But I have to tell you it's getting harder and harder everyday. The Senate Climate Bill which is being debated in Congress this week will increase the cost of oil due to cap and trade:

These measures would set a limit, or cap, on carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel use. The effect of such a cap would be to impose rationing of coal, oil, and natural gas on the American economy. Each covered utility, oil company, and manufacturing facility would be given allowances based on past emissions or some other formula. Those companies that emit less carbon dioxide than permitted by their allowances could sell the excess to those that do not; this is the trade part of cap and trade. Over time, the cap would be ratcheted down, requiring greater cuts in emissions.

This bill was co-authored by a Republican from Virginia. It is getting to the point where it is hard to tell the difference between Republican and Democrat in most cases. McCain is no exception. While I may still vote for him, I must say I am giving a hard look to Bob Barr. The Libertarian candidate. In many ways, I consider myself a libertarian but there are some issues that I just can't agree with. But with the current two party system blurring the lines of demarcation, I may look the other way this year and pull the handle for Mr. Barr.

I know it is only February, but have I got a winner for the Mother of the Year award. And I am not talking about the coffee cup MoY, I mean give this woman a medal. With that medal she should also spend some time behind bars. Too bad there is no cure for stupidity, as she would require that as well. What a winner... (emphasis mine)

A Central Florida mother of four boys was arrested on Tuesday after telling authorities that she went "on strike" more than a month ago, leaving the teens home alone for hours every day because they would constantly fight.
Melissa G. Dean, 33, was charged with child neglect after telling Ocala police and the Department of Children and Families that she leaves her children, ages 17, 16, 14 and 13, home alone.
Dean told a DCF official that she decided to "go on strike" because no one would help with her children, saying the police and courts would do nothing to help her.

So let me make sure I have this right. She expected the police and courts help her out with her own children all of whom are underage. Click on the link to check out the full story. I guess if writers can go on strike, hey why not not mothers.

More Change

Just like B. Hussein Obama, I am an agent of change. This little blog has been through a few changes since it's inception back in November of 2006 including a little neglect as of late. It has been something that I have been dealing with on when to restart it and what to do with it. My man Mike Huckabee, while hanging in there, looks like his marathon may be coming to a close. I appreciate the tenacity of such a campaign but even I can read the tea leaves. The blog will veer slightly and not only focus on politics, but also on local issues here where I reside in Hampton Roads Virginia, but also I plan to talk a bit more on 2nd Amendment rights. My initial venture into owning a gun has been one from buying to have for home defense, to trolling Glock Talk and Open Carry forums in search of new posts and new information. I still hope to bring more people into the fold to post on the website. If anyone still reading this blog is interested, just shoot me an email. Thanks for reading and I hope you stick around.

Al Gore back in the limelight

I guess being out of the limelight for a while due to those darn campaigns has caused Al Gore to come out of hiding. In a new article at Breitbart, he says that the North Pole ice caps may be gone completely within five years. Never mind the Antarctic ice sheets are the thickest on record, never mind that the polar ice caps on Mars is also melting (we still have yet to find any SUVs on Mars, unless it is that rover we sent over that is melting the ice cap).

There are now forecasts that the North Pole ice caps may disappear entirely during summer months within five years, he told a gathering at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Fred Starting to Slip?

In an off camera remark to Carl Cameron of FNC Fred uttered the following:

Trying to encourage his studio to hurry up so an interview could start, Carl Cameron of Fox News said into his microphone: “The next president of the United States has a schedule to keep.” Standing beside him, a deadpan Mr Thompson interjected: “And so do I.”
As some Thompson aides looked bemused and others cringed, a taken-aback Mr Cameron, Fox’s chief political correspondent, exclaimed: “You can’t do that kind of stuff!”

He also made the following remark during a speech in Iowa:

He was lampooned mercilessly after a YouTube clip showing him asking an audience Iowa underwhelmed by his stump speech: “First of all, could I have a round of applause?”

This was also lampooned in the the following skit on SNL:

The following were comments from the latest speech he gave in Bedford, NH:

“The American people like folks that have a positive, hopeful message,” said one prominent Republican.

“This felt very pessimistic. He doesn’t have the kind of fire and brimstone that excites people or gives them a reason to vote for him.”

Fergus Cullen, New Hampshire’s state Republican chairman, said Mr Thompson had made a big mistake in September when he opted to declare his candidacy on the “Jay Leno” talk show rather than attend a New Hampshire debate.

“He got off on the wrong foot here and he has been struggling to get onto the right foot ever since. He is still at the introducing himself stage of the campaign whereas most of the other candidates went through that six or 12 months ago.”

I really don't have that much bad to say about Thompson, I think he is a decent man, who if elected would do great things for this country. On the other hand if he doesn't start to do more, he may lose any grip he has on this election.

More on the Hillary Flap

I found this of interest too when it comes to the Hillary flap and the debate. El Rushbo always makes things more understandable to me the untrained rank amateur. He had this to say on the NY License issue:

RUSH: That was the most pathetic skate; the most pathetic avoidance; that was horribly bad. Governor Spitzer -- she wouldn't even tell us what she thought about it. What governor Spitzer's trying to do is fill a vacuum created by this administration? It's BS. Let me give you the dirty little secret. Driver's licenses for illegals in New York, is all about one thing: voter fraud. Because of Motor Voter, the federal Motor Voter law, everybody getting a driver's license in New York is automatically handed a voter registration form. Five hundred thousand or more -- Mrs. Clinton just said a million -- illegal aliens. The potential for voter fraud here is profound, and to say that he's just trying to fill a vacuum?

RUSH: I checked the e-mail during the break. "What do you mean, Rush? Could you elaborate on this business of the New York illegal driver's licenses being a voter fraud scheme?" Folks, it's very simple. This is the plan by the New York governor Eliot Spitzer. If you get a driver's license, you get what? You get a photo ID, and a photo ID would allow you... When you show up to get your driver's license, because of the federal Motor Voter Act, everybody that gets a driver's license in New York is automatically handed a voter registration form, and if you do not have to prove citizenship to get a driver's license, then you go ahead and fill out whatever you want on your Motor Voter registration form, send it in, and you could probably vote with impunity. "In order to register, a person must sign an affidavit stating that they are an American citizen." Now, how does New York deal with this? Lee Daghlian, state board of elections spokesman, said, "You assume that people don't lie, and that's what the form says. [But] I suppose it would be [tough to catch] if someone wanted to take advantage of the system and try to get a number of people registered who aren't citizens and went ahead and got them driver's licenses."

He then went on to discuss an interaction between Chris Matthews and NBC political director Chuck Todd:

MATTHEWS: Did you feel, Chuck, that her briefing book let her down? She was well proposed by Mandy [Grunwald] and Mark Penn and the others, and Howard Wolfson, but she got stuck on an issue of state politics, the issue of these driver's licenses in New York state, and she didn't have a clear answer?

TODD: No. I think she got stuck when she has tried very hard not to answer specifics, and she does it because it's something that her husband learned very well: Be careful what you say in these primaries. I think she was trying to figure out a way to have it both ways.

RUSH: Exactly right! She was trying to not to tell us what she really thought about it, and she ended up telling us what she really thinks about it when she said we should have passed immigration reform. You're going to see during the day-to-day and throughout the rest of the campaign a whole bunch of people circling the wagons for her, such as this question, "Did the briefing book fail her?" Did the briefing book fail her! Notice, she didn't fail herself? No! It's her briefing book that "failed," as these people analyze and look at this sort of things. By the way, on this New York driver's license business, there's a New York Times story today. "The phone call from a top aide to Michael Chertoff, the secretary of homeland security, came two weeks ago, and the message was clear: The department was concerned that Gov. Eliot Spitzer's plan to grant driver's licenses to illegal immigrants would undermine a federal initiative to roll out a new highly secure, nationally recognized license.

I have to admit when I first heard this flap, the last thing I thought about was the illegal voting issue, but as always, Rush is there to make the complex understandable, at least for me anyway.

The Clinton Machine

I think everyone has gotten too caught up in how strong the HRC machine can be and has worried for sometime that we have to find someone on the Right to fight her. But after this debate where she clearly stumbled on an easy question, the fallout has been quite interesting. At the last debate she clearly was for Gov. Spitzer's license idea before she was against it and not even in the matter of a couple of minutes. Now, after the debate, she is doing some serious damage control. It is clear that her fundraising, while appearing to be (what I think) sometimes illegal, is not short for money. She has raised millions. But now her campaign is declaring that the only way to fight off her poor performance is to...raise more money.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) top advisers, doing damage control after the candidate’s debate performance Tuesday, told supporters on a conference call Wednesday that the campaign needed more money to fight back.

So let me get this right, in order to fight off a question she flip flopped on, she needs even more money. She has been used to getting thrown easy questions and the one time she gets a hard question that she has clearly not been briefed on by her campaign, she needs even more money to fight it off. During that same conference call they are also trying to turn this into a bunch of men beating up a defenseless woman.

Those female voters are saying, “Sen. Clinton needs our support now more than ever if we’re going to see this six-on-one to try to bring her down,” Penn told those on the campaign call. Emphasis mine

What will she do if she makes it into office and those all so mean dictators get all mean with her? This all boils down to her being pampered her whole public life and never having to actually know anything without the help of a campaign or her husband. It is a very good thing for her though that the MSM will always be there to bail her out. I have to say that the money quote from this article was this line from the conference call:

Another said Russert “should be shot,” before quickly adding that she shouldn’t say that on a conference call.

Now, after saying that let me throw in a Huckabee spin on this whole thing. He recently had a fund drive to raise a little over 1 million and achieved his goal. He has been able to do more with very little than she has been able to do with millions. To me it is almost a picture of what it will be like once that person gets into the presidency...a huge spender or someone that is fiscally responsible.

A Movie I Won't Be Seeing

GI JOE is now an acronym for an international based unit based in Brussels. I don't know what offends me the most about this, that they are ruining an American icon, or basing this unit where the EU is based. I can remember being a kid and playing with GI Joe action figures. But kids today will learn of a different GI Joe, a EU/NATO run unit not an American Hero. The story of how GI Joe came to be can be found here, where I learned of this whole international nonsense. The writer has a great point as to why this is fundamentally wrong. Trust me this is more than just the story of a toy, but of the life of a real Marine named Mitchell Paige.

I wonder how John Edwards will fund this?

Edwards, a former Democratic senator from North Carolina, says the federal government should underwrite universal pre-kindergarten, create matching savings accounts for low-income people, mandate a minimum wage of $9.50 and provide a million new Section 8 housing vouchers for the poor. He also pledged to start a government-funded public higher education program called "College for Everyone."

Thats right not only will John Edwards bring you a hospital sans the bill, but also a great education courtesy of the US Taxpayer...

To do it, he said, he'll ask many Americans to make sacrifices, like paying higher taxes.

So there you go, not only are we going to jack up taxes for our health care, but now for higher education. Is anyone else paying attention? Socialism is creeping in people, and this guy is proposing to be our Dear Leader. Full story here.

I am watching the debate on the House Floor on C-SPAN and I still can't believe this argument continues. Rep. Frank Pallone (D) New Jersey, mentioned that the bill is payed for by an increase in Tobacco tax. Now I don't smoke, but it only makes sense that if you keep taxing anything eventually people will quit using that item. Now juxtapose that with the every increasing smoke free areas. In California you can't even smoke in an apartment building, and soon you won't be able to smoke in parks either. If you continue to treat smokers like 2nd Class citizens, then you will lose the money you want to fund SCHIP. Isn't this common sense? Continuing to watch this debate is proving to be the highlight of my day so far. So much mud slinging. There are only a few remarks away from being the English Parliament during the Prime Ministers Questions.

Now I may not agree with everything Rudy says or stands for, but you have to admit he is right on point here. The only thing Hillary has going for her is that her husband was once the President. That is how she got elected to the Senate, and that is what is carrying her now. Which to be fair is why most of the time, senators rarely make it to the the White House. That usually goes to governors. Simple reason...they have been in an executive position much like that of the presidency. George W. Bush, Clinton, Reagan, and Carter to name a few, with Congressman mixed in as well. I must say that it will be interesting to see who gets the nomination on the Democrat side. The front runners are either junior in the Congress or failed out of the Congress (John Edwards).

I had the debate tonight on my computer for the majority of the night. It was in Ft. Lauderdale and was the Values Voters Debate. Mike was there along with Duncan Hunter and some of the other not so top tier candidates. I have to say I was rather impressed with Alan Keyes. I have heard him in the past, but he seemed to be on point in this debate. Of course to me, Huckabee did a great job. But as always Ron Paul always has a great audience wherever he goes and tonights debate was no exception. If only we could get Walter E Williams to run...

I am normally skeptical of the New York Times, but this article is on Fred Thompson so I figured I would give it a read. It would appear from the article the campaign trail may be a bit hard on Fred.

Since Thursday morning, when the tour began, Mr. Thompson has made no more than three campaign stops a day, with long stretches in between. In recent spins through Iowa, he kept a similarly relaxed schedule. Mitt Romney, by comparison, often does six town-hall-style forums a day when in Iowa.

That image of Romney juxtaposed to the commercial of him running and on the campaign trail. It's almost as if that commercial was aimed right at Fred Thompson. While none of the candidates are exactly young, you should only remind yourself of Regan who always was attacked for his age and frequent naps. If I were Fred I would remind voters of this fact if they start to attack his age or constant tiring. Personally I could care less if a President can run a marathon or is obese, if he is consistent in what I wanted when I voted for him and gets the job done...who cares. Any thoughts?

Starting to Wonder

I may have spoken prematurely when I cast my allegiance to Fred Thompson. With his lack of committing, though some say this is actually quite smart, it has given me some time to ponder the others. Mike Huckabee to me seems like he could win. I still hold that Fred Thompson could win and to me a great ticket that would help propel another Republican into the house would be a Huckabee/Thompson ticket. Time will tell whether or not Fred enters or not, but the solid man now is Huckabee. This article at NRO helps solidify an argument for Huckabee.

It looks as though Fred Thompson hasn't even officially announced anything yet, except for the fact that he may announce something, and the DNC has already begun to attack him. I don't think that anything they can throw at him will make a difference. From the article at Politico:

Democratic strategists say Thompson's populist style and show-biz allure could prove extremely appealing in a general election at a time when voters are so down on Washington. So the party has launched a preemptive campaign against him that includes a DNC fundraising e-mail branding Thompson, "The inside-outsider."

So his showbiz allure, something the Dems have longed loved for so long, is making them nervous. I call it an even playing field.

Freedom

Since when did freedom mean Government regulated? It seems that is the natural order that our liberties are progressing. From a town in Louisiana banning baggy pants, to what seems like the end for talk radio, to a state wide ban on smoking. Everywhere around us it would appear that our freedoms are coming under the regulation of our government. I would like to say that some of this has something to do with the lowest approval rating of Congress, maybe people everywhere are getting tired of the same old song and dance with the big brother that is the Capitol. Why is it people don't see the problem with government telling them how to live? What is the problem with wearing baggy pants that a city government had to ban it citywide? Smoking...where do I start? I am not a smoker myself, and every time I enter a restaurant I ask for the non-smoking section. It's not my health I am thinking of, just the fact I find it annoying. But for civil authority to tell private business that it must ban smoking, to me is tyranny. And then there is talk radio problem, a problem Trent Lott is well aware of to be sure. The last time I checked we lived in a free market and the fact that Liberals tried talk radio and failed (see Air America) should speak volumes. The only way they can shut down talk radio is a nasty bill called the Fairness Doctrine. This would impose rules on the shows to show an alternative point of view on the show. So to put this in perspective, 1st Amendment rights will be controlled by a bill imposed to allow liberals a voice in radio. I almost want to agree with Vermont and vote to secede from the Union. I hate to see that day come, but I feel it may eventually.

I have long held out that Climate Change is real but Global Warming (which is nothing more than a scam) which we are forced into, we suffer the whole debacle by imposed taxes and fear. The weatherman can't even tell me with exacting certainty what the weather will be like tomorrow, and yet we can predict the weather 50 years to come? Give me a break. Nothing makes me more mad than Global Warming. Please, will these fourth graders explain to me what American force is causing the polar caps of Mars to melt? NO? I didn't think so.

But then she goes on to say...

Obama said that the media has presented distorted images of the black community in America.

So there she goes. Is there anyway we can evaluate the man and not the race? It looks very unlikely.

Shut Jimmy Carter Up

Can anyone tell this man to go back to building houses? It does nothing for our foreign policy to go abroad and tell the world how bad America has become on their national TV. But Jimmy Carter, the president that gave us the problem we have with Iraq now, thus resulting in an incredibly horrible foreign policy, has gone on the BBC and laid it all out. What happened to a time when presidents just faded out of the picture. So much for politics stopping at the waters edge.

"And I think the almost undeviating support by Great Britain for the ill-advised policies of President Bush in Iraq have been a major tragedy for the world," Carter told British Broadcasting Corp. radio.

I have to say that so far the man I am most impressed with in the GOP lineup is Fred Thompson. When exactly he is going to announce or for that matter if he is going to announce his bid for the famous address in D.C., remains to be seen. It has so far been interesting to see that he is doing well in polls against every other nominee. I guess we will have to wait and see. Check out http://www.fred08.com/ for more information.

Slowly Coming Back

So things have been a little crazy around the conservative pundits spider hole, but things are looking to come back around. I'm amazed how many people forgot it was Ash Wednesday. Probobly more remembered Fat Tuesday.

Ash Wednesday is not the lead to a party day. It's the lead to Heaven.

44 days from now everyone in the Christian world will celebrate Easter. The day Christrians celebrate the death of Christ. (he died for our sins nimrod) Yet this day is only noticed by some "wackos" having ash on thier forehead.

The 44 days are of Jesus going to the desert to pray. He prayed for US!

While in the desert he was challenged by non-believers. People talked of wild stories, how He had done this and that. None true.

This reminds me of another truth.

Never trust who may be your friend unless they truly are. For no one truly is. Death is by a smile.

CAIR "a brief history"

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) describes itself as a "non-profit, grassroots membership organization … established to promote a positive image of Islam and Muslims in America," to protect Muslims from hate crimes and discrimination, and to present “an Islamic perspective on issues of importance to the American public.” According to the Council's Director of Communications, Ibrahim Hooper, "We are similar to a Muslim NAACP." CAIR currently claims 30 affiliates in the United States and one branch in Canada.

CAIR was co-founded in 1994 by Ibrahim Hooper, Nihad Awad, and Omar Ahmad, all of whom had close ties to the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), which was established by senior Hamas operative Mousa Abu Marzook and functioned as Hamas’ public relations and recruitment arm in the United States. Awad and Ahmad had previously served, respectively, as IAP's Public Relations Director and President. Ibrahim Hooper was also an employee of IAP. Thus it can be said that CAIR was an outgowth of IAP.

CAIR opened its first office in Washington, DC, with the help of a $5,000 donation from the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), a self-described charity founded by Mousa Abu Marzook. In May 1996, CAIR coordinated a press conference to protest the decision of the U.S. government to extradite Marzook for his connection to terrorist acts performed by Hamas. CAIR characterized the extradition as "anti-Islamic" and "anti-American." Shortly after 9/11, the CAIR website featured a picture of the World Trade Center in flames and below it a call for donations that was linked to the HLF website. When President Bush closed HLF in December 2001 for collecting money "to support the Hamas terror organization," CAIR decried his action as "unjust" and "disturbing."

From its inception, CAIR has sought to portray itself as a moderate, mainstream organization, and as early as 1996 its officials became frequent guests at State Department and White House events. In the aftermath of 9/11, when the Bush administration tried to reassure American Muslims that Islam was not the target of the war on terrorism, CAIR officials were prominent among the invitees. CAIR was the main Islamic group to gain U.S. media access in the post-9/11 period, providing the “Muslim view” of the terrorist attacks and of America's response to them. As self-acclaimed Muslim spokesmen, CAIR officials typically refused to “simplify the situation” by blaming Osama bin Laden for the attacks on America. Moreover, while they were eventually induced by journalists to condemn Palestinian suicide terror in a pro forma manner, they hedged their disavowals by describing it as an understandable response to Israeli brutality.

Other facts about CAIR's pas de deux with Islamic terrorism include the following:

Co-founder Nihad Awad asserted at a 1994 meeting at Barry University, "I am a supporter of the Hamas movement." Awad wrote in the Muslim World Monitor that the 1994 trial which had resulted in the conviction of four Islamic fundamentalist terrorists who had perpetrated the previous year's World Trade Center bombing was "a travesty of justice."
On February 2, 1995, U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White named CAIR Advisory Board member and New York imam Siraj Wahhaj as one of the "unindicted persons who may be alleged as co-conspirators" in Islamic Group leader Omar Abdel Rahman's foiled plot to blow up numerous New York City monuments.
In October 1998, CAIR demanded the removal of a Los Angeles billboard describing Osama bin Laden as "the sworn enemy," asserting that this depiction "offensive to Muslims."

In 1998, CAIR denied bin Laden's responsibility for the two al Qaeda bombings of American embassies in Africa. According to Ibrahim Hooper, the bombings resulted from "misunderstandings of both sides."

In September 2003, CAIR's former Community Affairs Director, Bassem Khafagi, plead guilty to three federal counts of bank and visa fraud. Federal investigators said that a group Khafagi founded, the Islamic Assembly of North America, had funneled money to activities supporting terrorism and had published material advocating suicide attacks against the United States.

In July 2004, Ghassan Elashi, a founding Board member of CAIR's Texas chapter, was convicted along with his four brothers of having illegally shipped computers from their Dallas-area business, InfoCom Corporation, to Libya and Syria, two designated state sponsors of terrorism. That same month, Elashi was charged with having provided more than $12.4 million to Hamas while he was running HLF. In April 2005, Elashi and two of his brothers were also convicted of knowingly doing business with Hamas operative Mousa Abu Marzook.

On September 6, 2001, the day that federal agents first raided Infocom’s headquarters, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad denounced the government for “tak[ing] us back to the McCarthy era.” Similarly, CAIR’s Dallas-Fort Worth chapter depicted the Elashis’ indictment as “a war on Islam and Muslims” and alleged that the brothers had been convicted “for their crime of being Muslims in America.”

Randall Todd Royer, who served as a communications specialist and civil rights coordinator for CAIR, trained with Lashkar-I-Taiba, an al Qaeda-tied Kashmir organization that is listed on the State Department's international terror list. He was also indicted on charges of conspiring to help al Qaeda and the Taliban battle American troops in Afghanistan. He later plead guilty to lesser firearm-related charges and was sentenced to twenty years in prison.

Onetime CAIR fundraiser Rabih Haddad was arrested on terrorism-related charges and deported from the United States due to his subsequent work as Executive Director of the Global Relief Foundation, which in October 2002 was designated by the U.S. Treasury Department for financing al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations.

During the 2005 trial of Sami Al-Arian, who was a key figure for Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the United States, Ahmed Bedier of CAIR’s Florida branch emerged as one of Al-Arian’s most vocal advocates.

The foregoing terrorist connections have drawn the notice of numerous commentators:

Steven Pomerantz, the FBI’s former chief of counter-terrorism, has stated that “CAIR, its leaders and its activities effectively give aid to international terrorist groups.”

The family of John P. O’Neill, Sr., the former FBI counter-terrorism chief who died at the World Trade Center on 9/11, named CAIR in a lawsuit as having “been part of the criminal conspiracy of radical Islamic terrorism” responsible for the September 11 attacks.

Terrorism expert Steven Emerson, citing federal law enforcement sources and internal documents, characterizes CAIR as “a radical fundamentalist front group for Hamas.”

U.S. Senator Richard Durbin has said, "CAIR is unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its associations with groups that are suspect."

On September 17, 2003, U.S. Senator Charles Schumer stated that CAIR co-founders Nihad Awad and Omar Ahmed have "intimate links with Hamas." He later remarked that "we know [CAIR] has ties to terrorism."

A number of American Muslims have made similar observations:

The late Seifeldin Ashmawy, who published Voice of Peace, called CAIR the champion of “extremists whose views do not represent Islam.”

Tashbih Sayyed of the Council for Democracy and Tolerance (CDT) called CAIR “the most accomplished fifth column” in the United States. Jamal Hasan, also of CDT, said that CAIR’s goal is to spread “Islamic hegemony the world over by hook or by crook.”

According to Kamal Nawash of the Free Muslim Coalition Against Terrorism, CAIR and similar groups “condemn terrorism on the surface while endorsing an ideology that helps foster extremism,” and adds that “almost all of their members are theocratic Muslims who reject secularism and want to establish Islamic states.”

CAIR chose not to endorse or participate in the May 14, 2005 "Free Muslims March Against Terror," an event whose stated purpose was to "send a message to the terrorists and extremists that their days are numbered ... [and to send] a message to the people of the Middle East, the Muslim world and all people who seek freedom, democracy and peaceful coexistence that we support them.”

Rise In Minimum-Wage Hurting America Already

I just saw article at the Arizona Republic. It appears that what conservatives have been saying all along in the debate about raising the minimum wage was, yes I know, right.

Some Valley employers, especially those in the food industry, say payroll budgets have risen so much that they're cutting hours, instituting hiring freezes and laying off employees.
Companies maintain the new wage was raised to $6.75 per hour from $5.15 per hour to help the breadwinners in working-poor families. Teens typically have other means of support.

Conservatives have pointed it out many times, that the minimum wage is there for mostly high school students. Now it seems as though they are the first to go.

Mark Messner, owner of Pepi's Pizza in south Phoenix, estimates he has employed more than 2,000 high school students since 1990. But he plans to lay off three teenage workers and decrease hours worked by others. Of his 25-person workforce, roughly 75 percent are in high school.

So not only are the teens getting cut, but other workers hours are getting cut. We were told that the raise would increase the the earnings of Americans but if the businesses have to cut their hours, well that would decrease their earnings. You can read the full article here. To help explain all this check out this excerpt from Walter E. Williams, who is by the way an economics professor at GMU.

Place yourself in the position of an employer and ask: If a worker costs me, say, $7 in wages, plus mandated fringes such as Social Security, unemployment compensation, sick and vacation leave, making the true hourly cost of hiring a worker $9 an hour, does it pay me to hire a worker who's so unfortunate to have skills that enable him to produce only $5 or $6 worth of value per hour? Most employers would conclude that doing so would be a losing economic proposition.
There are a couple other villains in the piece that force employers to respond to increases in wages that exceed a worker's productivity. If he did hire such workers, he would earn lower profits. Soon, investors would abandon him and put their money where returns are higher.
There's another villain -- the customer. If the employer retained workers whose wages exceeded their productivity, to cover his costs he would have to charge you and me higher product or service prices. I don't know about you, but I prefer lower prices to higher prices, and I'd switch my patronage to those firms who adjusted to the higher labor cost.
Congress can easily mandate higher wages, but they cannot mandate higher worker productivity or that employers hire a particular worker in the first place. Those of us who truly care about the welfare of low-skilled workers should focus our energies on helping them to become more productive, and a good start would be to do something about the rotten education that many receive.

Sounds like a good joke eh?

An Imam gets invited to give the opening prayer at the DNC winter meeting and starts out saying, to the effect, "thank you God for making this (not us) such a great nation"

So far so good. But since when did the DNC invoke religion in their party? SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE! they imply.

The Imam goes further to pray for the end of "oppression and occupation". (gee, what was that about? Dearborn, MI?)

He also mentioned something about the believers.

BELIEVERS in the Islamic world equals muslims. No one else. A believer is a muslim devoted to the one true faith of Mohamed. A non-believer is cast to hell. This means all non-muslims; catholics, potestants, jews, shinto, buddhists, etc., are comdenmed to a firery end.

A Rabbi is invited to the second day prayer. It wasn't broadcast (that I saw) so I'll assume it was tasteful, but, he took a jab at hezbollah and anti-Isreali mentions.

A priest gets invited to the DNC winter meeting on the third day (hmm) to make the morning's opening prayer. It wasn't widely broadcast either so I'll assume he started with "Thank you God for making us a great nation".

Just for argument's sake. What if the priest said how all protestants should come back to the one true Christian faith; the Catholic church?

AN UPROAR! HOW DARE YOU! SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!
-murmurs in the background-

"What?" the priest might say. "At least I'm on the side of unifying the church to battle the true non believers. Christ wasn't a prophet!".

"Well" the liberals may scoff, "We should be more understanding to the other religious ideologies, and not so quick to judge".

So our nation, built on Christian ideals, is subject to Sharia law or jihad just to appease a minority?

State Bill Impose Into the Home

I am in the process of preparing for the next podcast, and one thing I am working on is why I am a conservative. Now outside of the fact that I hold to a certain set of values, values I was raised with, my view of government shapes this reasoning as well. One view that I hold strongly to is that government should be limited in it's power over the people. There is a certain freedom that we are granted that is continuously ignored by government. In California, it was the spanking issue. Now, in the Lone Star state, Republicans are seeking to fine parents who miss a parent teacher meeting. The fine will cost you $500 dollars and will go to a criminal record as well. Part of me thinks this could be a good idea. I believe that parents should be completely involved in what is going on in the child's life, including school. At the same time, I have to disagree with making it a crime to not meet with the teacher. While not a trivial matter to be sure, it is not as if the parent is neglecting the child of food, clothing, or those things which we must have for survival. You can't force good parenting on people. A parent whose concern for their children will not change if institute laws to change that lack of concern. There is a reason the term deadbeat-(insert your favorite word here) came about. These parents just don't care. You can't force it on them, and this law will only raise the crime rate and increase additional funding required by tax payers to enforce this law. In the end, what seems like a good idea, doesn't once you think about it. You can't legislate good parenting no matter how hard you try.

Medman's prediction

I wanted to dropped a couple lines to further illuminate why my prediction was correct. Unfortunately for the Bears, they found out you can't stop an explosive offense like the Colts, and just when you think you have them pinned in a corner, they show their true strength. Of course the defense played an important role with 4 forced turnovers and a touchdown. I would also like congratulate Peyton Manning for having the monkey permanently removed from his back. Lastly I agree with Befudld, because I was one of the masses hung over and the commercials for the most part were an extreme disappointment. By far the worst of the last five years. With that said, I sit and wait until August to do it all over again.

So the "holiday" is over. The masses are hung over and the the week begins. The game is done and every one makes the big discussion at the water cooler; what was the best commercial?

This has to be the epitome of the american football experience. In Indiana they cry for joy, in Chicago they cry in sorrow. The rest of America cries for the best commercials.

If it were a holiday, as so many make it, put it on a Saturday so all can get a day of rest before the brutal confrontations of did you see the commercial? can make the rounds. Super bowl Sunday is a commercial spot on the ass the of the nation.

Super Bowl Quagmire

This weeks In The Words Of... comes from Walter E. Williams, a guest host at Rush Limbaugh and Economics Professor at George Mason University. I have been listening to some old broadcasts and reading some of his articles from his site, so I thought I would share some here at Conservative Pundit.
On Minimum Wage and here:

The idea that minimum wage legislation is an anti-poverty tool is simply sheer nonsense. Were it an anti-poverty weapon, we might save loads of foreign aid expenditures simply by advising legislators in the world's poorest countries, such as Haiti, Bangladesh and Ethiopia, to legislate higher minimum wages. Even applied to the United States, there's little evidence suggesting that increases in the minimum wage help the poor. Plus, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 2.2 percent of working adults earn the minimum wage.

On Copying Europe:

Government spending exceeds 50 percent of the GDP in France and Sweden and more than 45 percent in Germany and Italy , compared to U.S. federal, state and local spending of just under 36 percent. Government spending encourages people to rely on handouts rather than individual initiative, and the higher taxes to finance the handouts reduce incentives to work, save and invest. The European results shouldn't surprise anyone. U.S. per capita output in 2003 was $39,700, almost 40 percent higher than the average of $28,700 for European nations,.

On Foreign Aid:

British Prime Minister Tony Blair, along with other G-8 leaders, have called for the doubling of foreign aid to African nations by 2010. The idea that foreign aid is a route out of poverty and political instability is not only bankrupted but a cruel and evil hoax as well.

On Taxes and Fair Tax:

You say, "What's Williams' solution?" My solution is an amendment limiting federal spending to a fixed percentage, say, 10 percent of the gross domestic product. You say, "Why 10 percent?" If 10 percent is good enough for the Baptist Church, it certainly ought to be good enough for Congress.

On Big Government:

*The bottom line: We love government because it enables us to accomplish things that if done privately would lead to arrest and imprisonment. For example, if I saw a person in need, and I took your money to help him, I'd be arrested and convicted of theft. If I get Congress to do the same thing, I am seen as compassionate.
*Thomas Paine observed, "We still find the greedy hand of government thrusting itself into every corner and crevice of industry, and grasping at the spoil of the multitude. . . . It watches prosperity as its prey and permits none to escape without a tribute."

On Poverty:

Benjamin Franklin had it right when he wrote, "[T]he best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it." Government dependency makes poverty easy.

And here:

Avoiding long-term poverty is not rocket science. First, graduate from high school. Second, get married before you have children, and stay married. Third, work at any kind of job, even one that starts out paying the minimum wage. And, finally, avoid engaging in criminal behavior.

On Environmentalism:

The environmental extremists' true agenda has little or nothing to do with climate change. Their true agenda is to find a means to control our lives. The kind of repressive human control, not to mention government-sanctioned mass murder, seen under communism has lost any measure of intellectual respectability. So people who want that kind of control must come up with a new name, and that new name is environmentalism.

Alright, thats enough, I could spend all day at his site, reading old articles. I invite everyone to read more from what he has to say. This guy is the epitome of true conservatism.

Podcast Change

We are in the process of changing the podcast around a little bit. We received some suggestions from you the listeners and are taking some of those on board to see how we can make our podcast a little better. We hope to have a new one out this week. Due to the Super Bowl, which I am told is not about commercials, but a game called football (Medman is this right?), we are not going to do one this weekend and hopefully have one out Tuesday or Wednesday. I can't really go into the changes we are working on, because nothing has been set in stone, but I assure you it will be different from what we have done in the past. Once again, thanks for your support. In the meantime, may the Bears win the Super Bowl. I have been a huge fan on theirs since the team formed in 1999, and the birth of NFL. Unlike Medman, I know how to stick with a team and not flip-flop back and forth. Go Bears!!

Medman Flip Flops

Medman is now changing positions and flip-flopping. He has no position on where he stands on the Super Bowl. I am now calling for a Super Bowl Study Group to find out just how much Medman knows on this topic. I will not let this audience read a failed post by a blogger who has no stance. This is outrage. First he calls for the Colts then the Bears, and now back to the Colts. How can the American people trust a man who changes teams at a whim?

As for me, I have been solid in my position. I believe the Colts are going to win this thing and defeat the Bears. The best thing the Bears can do now is re-deploy. How much longer will we let this failed team play the game? How many more fans need to suffer?
